Welcome, everyone, to my web page! I am a lifelong resident of Martin County, and I am extremely proud and honored to serve the Mattamuskeet attendance area as the principal at Mattamuskeet Early College High School. I have a wonderful and supportive wife Kellie and three children Brett 11, Grant 6 and Kaylin 4.

Upon graduating from Jamesville High School in 1997, I attended East Carolina University until 2001, graduating with a BS in Exercise Sports Science with a concentration in general science and began my teaching and coaching career. I was privileged to teach Science, Health and PE as well as coach football, baseball and basketball at Jamesville High School over the next five years. Upon being chosen as a North Carolina Principal Fellow Scholarship recipient in 2006 and earned my Master of School Administration from East Carolina University in 2008.

During the 2007 - 2008 school year, I interned as assistant principal of Williamston Middle School and Jamesville High School. In August of 2008 I was hired in my first administrative position as the assistant principal of Grifton Elementary School in Pitt County. After less than three years I returned to my home Martin County accepting the position of assistant principal at Riverside High School and served as the athletic director for the 2012-2013 school year. During this time I also represented Martin County as the Martin County Assistant Principal of The Year. I was then offered the position of Principal at South Creek High School which I served from 2013 until 2018. During this time I was selected as Martin County District Wells Fargo Principal of The Year and earned certifications in Blended and Digital Leadership and Distinguished Leadership in Practice.

I am now honored to have been selected to represent Mattamuskeet Early College High School as Principal.
