Assessment is a critical component of teaching learning. Mastery of assessment literacy involves the ability to answer the following questions with accuracy:
- What, specifically, do I want my students to learn?
- What should students be able to do in order to show mastery of what I want them to learn?
- What kind of assessment will give the teacher, student, and parent the best data to determine what has been learned?
This page contains resources specific to the state testing program as well as resources for teachers to learn more about high quality formative and summative assessment creation.
The Accountability Livebinder link contains this year's resources specific to the state testing program for all areas (EOG, EOC, NCFE, ACCESS, etc.). Please visit the livebinder for answers to questions about state and benchmark testing in Hyde County. If you cannot find your answer here, please contact your school testing coordinator.
All Hyde County teachers should be using SchoolNet to create daily and weekly assessments to inform their instruction of our students. This tool is provided to all teachers by NCDPI and is maintained by Pearson Learning. The state provides teachers with a YouTube channel of support videos that explain how to use SchoolNet. Please use these videos as needed.
