• 6th and 7th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) is a  fun, engaging, challenging, hands-on, critical thinking course course at Mattamuskeet Early College High School. Students will learn and be challenged through engaging, hands-on projects and activities.  In order to prepare students for the rigors of future courses, students will learn to think critically and on a deeper level than in previous years. Technology will be used daily to enhance and supplement learning in a variety of ways in order to better prepare our students as 21st Century learners.  We will cover a variety of topics in this course that not only are required to pass their grade, but also are useful and necessary in the world outside of the classroom. Students will have various assignments to complete inside and outside of the classroom. I will provide a balance of challenging and fun assignments throughout the year. I look forward to another great year here at MECHS and cannot wait to get started!

  • The following items are in high demand in the middle grades classes. As teachers, we love to have our classroom clean and sanitized - especially during the times of year when illnesses are high!  If you are able to donate any of the following items to your child's homeroom teacher to help keep our classrooms clean and our students healthy, it would be greatly appreciated! Please let me know if you have any questions!
